When I heard of a charity called Second Helpings I immediately wanted to see what they did. Sure enough it involves food, and feeding the needy, but it is much more than that. First of all, they rescue unused food from wholesalers, retailers, and restaurants. Then they have a program to teach disadvantaged adults to prepare this food, and then finally the food is used to feed people in need. That is what I call a very win-win-win situation. Your donation of $100 buys 57 meals for children in low-income daycares or after-school programs.
Do you like music? Do you like kids? Do you think kids and music go together like P&J? Music Will is dedicated to bringing free musical instruments and music instruction to underserved schools across the country. Your donation of $100 could buy an instrument for a child. Remember, kids just want to [have] strum! And with the way education is underfunded in this country, we need to help kids be able to have opportunities like this.
